CNA Job Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible to assist nurses (RN or LPN) in patient care.
Typically reports to RN supervisor or Director of Nursing.
Qualifications:
- Successfully completed a state approved nurses assistant training program
- Must have current certification with state board
- Must be able to safely and successfully perform job — related functions with or without reasonable accommodations required by federal, state, or local law
Duties:
- Assists nurses with the implementing a documenting, nursing care based on patient’s needs
- Care for multiple patients in the facility without difficulty
- Observes patient’s rights
- Provides personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assists nurses with giving treatments to patients
- Assists nurses with admitting, transferring, and discharging patients
- Assists with restorative and rehab care with proper instruction and supervision
- Comes to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality
- Dresses and conducts self in professional manner
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
